HITTING AND TIMING

Is "timing" important for a hitter?  If you have played or coached fast-pitch softball or baseball you know the answer to that question.  But, Warren Spahn, the Hall of Fame baseball great, may have said it best when he stated; "Hitting is timing".

PITCHING MACHINES AND TIMING

Pitching machines are great training tools but they are by no means perfect.  And, primary of their short-comings is "timing", or rather, lack thereof.  With a pitching machine, hitters don't see a realistic throwing motion and therefore cannot properly "load", set the bat and hands at the launch position, stride and time the release of the pitch as they would with a live-arm pitcher.

A NEW GENERATION OF PITCHING MACHINE EQUIPMENT FOR FAST-PITCH SOFTBALL

"Timing" and pitching machines are old problems that have plagued hitters for years.  But, we have a solution.  We've added an important new element to the pitching machine; a patented (U.S. Patent #7,231,913) device that makes a pitching machine look as if it is actually throwing live-arm fast-pitch.  Available either (1) integrated into the Fastball Sports Motion Pitching Machine, or (2) as an attachment for a Jugs pitching machine, our powered, variable-speed ball feed/track mechanism allows the hitter to "see" a wind-mill throwing motion and realistically "time" a fast-pitch delivery.
